Our family of four adults and 2 toddlers went to lunch today at Poppies. It was a spur of the moment decision which turned out to be a most pleasant experience. Lovely friendly staff. Superb menu and the children were given toys and colouring in to amuse them over lunch. All meals were beautiful. Value for money and the setting is great.

Gr8 food. Large seating areas inside and out. Very good staff. CLEAN TOILETS. Plenty of parking AND they need it! Don't go by without trying this pleasant sunny place .

Arrived late mid week on the off chance they could do dinner. Was no trouble for them.
Whilst it's certainly not cheap, the meals were exceptional. Lamb was perfect, as was the pork belly, the steak.

DO NOT COME TO THIS RACIST CAFE! The waitress is very rude towards Asian. I do hope the owner of this cafe won’t be her. TripAdvisor please take your sticker out from this cafe as well.

Happen to stop by along the road for breakfast. The food was fantastic, especially the omellete, and the coffee was good. Nice cozy atmosphere.

WOW! Wonderful people, wonderful food and wonderful service.

Poppies was a quick drop-in destination for us and we were very happily surprised at the quality of the cafe.
We ordered a "Poppies Breakfast" and "Kumara and Quinoa vegie patty burger" and both were superb and filled our hungry bellies quickly. Absolutely stop here if you're in the area! Thankyou so much :)

Welcoming and comfortable cafe and restaurant in Twizel. More upmarket then the other place we visited with a good selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Unfortunately we found the prices too high and decided to eat somewhere else. We did end up ordering coffees though and I was charged an extra dollar just for cream. If you're on a budget I'd recommend heading downtown to the bakery instead.

The cafe has a relaxed atmosphere. The staff are polite. Meals took too long to arrive. Items missing off dishes. I ordered lamb pita - patty was hard as a rock, did not get oven roasted capsicum, it was raw. Friend ordered soup and got a fork. I think the price is too high considering. Wouldn't recommend for a good eat. Surprised with the high rating. The place seemed a bit tired.
