Thanks to Jimmy at Pitstop Manukau for fixing my vw golf mk4.Was having transmission issues with slipping and over heating .Case was the idiot who I spent $3000 on building my transmission put the wrong trans fluid in.Jimmy quoted me $380 for transmission flush and also fixed the bolts which the idiots stripped.I am super impressed with Jimmy and also the young Fijian indian guy who did the work and may i add this was on a Sunday when he could have told me wait till monday.Now my little beasty runs like a pocket rocket.Thanks again.

Read previous reviews , then friends experience as someone that knows nothing about mechanics said Jimmy (new owner)not only explained what was required short term(knowing costs was an issue) but provided an action plan to fit in with budget, along with exceptional service and doing what was needed. I thought finally someone not ripping us "clueless" customers off.
So when had major issues with my mini and quoted unbelievable prices ,just to look at ,as European car with the recommended service providers , thought what have I got to loose. Result is car has had a complete overall in more ways than one and I'm happy. Not ripped off and Jimmy is more about safety of the vehicles rather than making a buck.
Only bad review I can make is that Jimmy is so passionate about what he does, assumes all of us plebs to know what he is talking about as a professional. Had to interject and say please explain in layman turns. Crackup- eventually he understood and I drove away happy(kind off got it) and not ripped off.
Told everyone about him and all agree finally we can have confidence in someone. Unfortunately he doesn't service greater Auckland.
Peeps all you can do is make your own informed decisions. Unfortunately with today's reviews, businesses can be thrashed.
A phone call can make all the difference, which I did, even after a recommendation.
Ask for Jimmy and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

great service from the crew at pitstop manukau. I felt I could trust the people here to give me the best service for what i needed. If you are trying to find mechanic in Auckland you need to come here! Reasonable prices and they are even open on Saturdays! The mechanic here ended up staying later than usual to finish working on my car and did not overcharge me seeing as I am a loyal customer and I was so greatful! The people here are so dedicated to their jobs and genuinely care about doing a good job.Come here you won't be disappointed.

Prompt friendly service at reasonable costs. Positive advice given which helped me to decide the amount of work I needed to have done on my cars. I now take all my vehicles there for service

Don't go to these guys they are a rip off at first they quoted $500 for a work on my muffler then gave me a ring after work and gave $890 for the work don't go to pit stop in manukau period.
