Great little unknown reserve. Very quiet and not over crowded like other better known locations.

If you are a nature lover, this is one of the place you have to visit. About 60 km from Auckland towards Kaukapakapa area. This reserve got two waterfalls. One is Omeru fall, the little one & the other one is Waitangi waterfall, the big one. Omeru fall is in 5 min walk from Omeru Reserve entrance but you have to spend another 20 min walk to reach Waitangi waterfall. The last part of the walk is end up with deep descending by using a rope. You can reach the base of the waterfall after descend. It's fun but be careful about the muddy floor.

Pretty little place with 2 waterfalls. Well worth a visit - but after some good rain.

Excellent place for a picnic and a stroll. Good place to stretch your legs and breathe some country air while contemplating an historic Pa site.
Pleasant water falls with some native bird life. Be extra careful if traveling North as there is a bend just before the turnoff.response / report this review
