Old-school burgers and many delicious flavours of ice-cream, sundaes, and milkshakes. There are also classic arcade games to play. Be warned that there is no toilet on-site if you visit with children, so think ahead.
I love Ollies this place it harks back to days of Milk Bars when life was so much simpler. They have a great menu try the Ollie Dog & fries then finish off with one of their awesome range of icecreams. Guarantee you will keep coming back
Great place love the food, kids loved it too. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Parking around is available most of the time too
Has been a favourite stop for me and kids for 7 years. Traditional style ice-cream and takeaways. There are alternatives such as real fruit and Italian style gelato ice-cream places close by also.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. The staff were uninterested in the customers and honestly couldn't care a less. Upon ordering a 2 large soft drinks priced at $4.60 each, the attendant tells me the Raspberry flavour has run out and may taste a little odd and then proceeds to give the drink 3/4 filled, so I ask her to top it up with Orange Fanta, when we actually tried the drinks the Sprite we also ordered tasted like water...so I recommend not to buy drinks other than the bottled or milk/thickshakes. The burgers were ok, not the greatest but the major yuck factor was the American Hotdog which honestly was just an overcooked old mouldy bunned mess...yep, the bun had mould clearly visible yet the staff still toasted and served it. Ollies used to be a fun happy memory of childhood, now its just a run down dirty dump where the staff don't give a damn and serve old expired food and drinks. I really hope they get a visit from the health department or the 'check your stock police', I mean come on guys!!!
I have driven past about 2000 times and thought 'mmmm i must try Ollies... i do enjoy a good burger'... unfortunately I can't really rave about my experience... pretty average burger.. i had the Big Ollie burger... 2x meat pattie that tasted like angel bay patties... was over $10 then add $5 for 'large' chips which were a small cup and a small post mix soda.. had BK on the way home as was still hungry !!
Everything is always good here except for 1 time I came here 15 minutes before closing to get a burger and the kids on the counter told me that they had closed the kitchen already. In my experiences kitchens don't close until closing unless advertised. Other than that best thickshakes in town.
We love Ollies. I take my little one here every so often as a treat for both him and myself. Their sundaes are delish! The staff is always friendly and it's a pretty chill atmosphere inside. Fairly priced and the other food items are nice for an ice cream parlor . The burger is definetly a true blue kiwi burger. Will definetly keep coming back
First time in 20 years I've had a bad experience.
Staff were rude and unfriendly.
Returned from overseas and took my kids there to share the legend of Ollie's only to be told that I had to pay for a banana ice cream that the staff misheard from my Vanilla order.
Paid for that one ice cream, cancelled the other 6 orders, threw it in the bin and went across the road to the newly opened Happy Boy.
A fun place to eat ice cream. Very busy
Great friendly service and nice people too. Leave you alone to have your meal. Good food. Liked the place
Best Ice Creams In Auckland. Period!! Food is pretty decent too. Modestly priced. Clean amenities. Arcade games available to pass time and chill out for a bit. Ample seating. Great service and friendly, welcoming staff.
Old school feeling. Best ice creams in town I reckon, been coming here for years and hope this place stays here forever :)
This is a great ice cream parlor and they make the best cheeseburgers ever!
They are also a great incentive for kids ex. Rewards for doing something 👍👍
