This place is pretty basic. It s a roof over your head, but it is pretty run-down and our room was not too clean (long dark hairs on the shower wall). We couldn't lock our door from the outside (we actually succeeded once, but no more). The heater was a noisy fan heater. The basin was damaged. Friendly, helpful folk running it, but a little unsure about how things should really be run.

Enjoyable very friendly service we had stayed two nights and found it very good our room was a bit small but we did only have it for two i found that the service and staff were very nice and friendly we visit kaikohe once a month with our kids and they enjoyed there time at the motel with us i will consider going there again my 5 stars is for making us for making us feel comfortable also for your guys services our room was clean with linen and towels the bed was like heaven :D . Thank you for your guys services

arrived with dog advised i had dogs and he said ok so long as they dont make a mess. Paid moved into room made tea used the bathroom about sit down, asked me to change rooms because they did not want dog in newly refurbished room, accused me of letting the dog poo because i had just used the toilet myself. Moved room did not offer to help move my stuff. Smokers smell kept coming in window so could not have window open, kids on scooters riding up and down and annoying the dog and me. Toilet smelt of wee, sky very limited channels sky magazine well out of date. No instructions for use of tv, no information on the local cafes or food outlets. felt uncomfortable so loaded my stuff in the car and drove home to sleep safe and well. PS dog did not make a mess at all and has not anywhere I have stayed cleaner and less mess than an average two year old human

Response to Angela Bullen: Hi Angela, please remove your review, or we will see you in court for defamation. What you say in your review is only half of the truth. You fail to mention the fact, that we did you give you plenty of notice upon cancellation of your booking. We also profusely apologized for the mix up and not only did we offer to find you alternative accommodation, we also offered to pay a percentage of your accommodation. Your comments are biased, unfair and like we said "only half of the truth". If you like, I am happy to also post the discussions that we had with you on facebook, to defend our motel from your malicious attacks to discredit our business and reputation, which is what you threatened us with, when you finally responded to our numerous phone calls and messages to you.

These guys were awesome, very friendly and helpful, I will stay here whenever I am in or around Kaikohe for work.
