  Hi, i just visited Isite in Nelson for a Flexipass purchase, the girl from India i met yesterday seemed quite new in her job, she wanted to charge me 2 dollars for using Chinese UNION payment, which is NOT a CREDITCARD payment method when used in a shop.She seemed quite TOUGH on this and I didn't want to make a big fuss over (ONLY $2 wt can i say)But could you please give proper training about the charging details? Thank you.^-^

  Very helpful and informative staff. Went her for hunting permits for my dogs had all the paperwork ready for me was really simple and we'll thought out.

  The i-site in itself is very nice. However, one of the staff members was completely useless in regards to informing us for the Abel Tasman Track. She failed to warn us, and a number of other hikers as we would find out, that part of the hike had been damaged and could only be crossed at extremely low tide late in the afternoon. Two stars because of her.

  Super modern DOC and i-site combined into one place - building is brand new and i-site and DOC staff are all helpful. Chat to staff here for beat things to do in Nelson and throughout the whole district. Maps and all sorts of souvenirs available for sale. I saw no hiking/outdoor gear here (some other isites have this). DOC section has tons of information boards about local history and conversation efforts.

  A beautiful i-site. The staff was informative and super helpful. There's a lot to do in Nelson and the surrounds.
  Forget the guide books, just stop here and tell them your likes and abilities (financial and fitness) then they'll tell you which activities would suite your preferences.

  DoC officer was super helpful and very informative. He changed my my hut bookings without any fuss even though we were set to leave the next morning.

  So disappointed about the service 😭
  My sister and I came to get information about car rental.
  They offered to call companies and book a car for us : they called the company "Wheels car rental" in Nelson and pretended it was the only one having cars available
  The car was absolutely old and not safe at all, making weird noises at all times.
  Please, if you need to rent a car, get help
  somewhere else, if possible address the company directly.
  We have been refounded half of the price we've paid for only day of use.

  Good place to get information. The staff here live locally and are very knowledgeable on Nelson and the surrounding area.
