Methven House

The rest home is licensed for 12 residents. Additional services provided include Meals on Wheels, Daily activity programmes/care, four flats for independent seniors and respite care. Our goal at Methven House is to create a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere for our residents to enjoy. Our facilities include a large sunny lounge room at the front of the house with comfy chairs for the residents to relax in during the days activities. The lounge also includes a fish tank and a piano for the residents to use and watch local children come and give performances. We have a TV with Freeview and DVD player so residents can keep up to date with documentaries or dramas and the DVD player is also used for fitness activities. The large gardens are available for residents to wonder around and they can sit out and enjoy the peaceful setting.

We have numerous activities and events during the year, some are weekly while others are held annually such as:

•Quizzes
•Outings to school performances
•Weekly church services
•Mid Winter Dinner
•Christmas BBQ with family, staff and committee
•Visits to and from other rest homes / day care
