Worst service I've ever had. 1) Eating food while inspecting people's vehicle, the inspector did not wash his hand then carry on inspecting car. Dirty hands touching people's vehicle. 2) Try to pick small problem to fail your WOF (didn't know the NZTA rules very well). I brought my car to two other places after they failed my WOF. And both of the motor services confirmed that my WOF inspection was done in an unprofessional way and failing on some ridiculous reasons. I ended up got my vehicle checked elsewhere and simply passed the WOF with flying colors. 3) Rushing through things without trying to explain things clearly. Asking the lady to explain a bit more about the reason I failed WOF， she ended up answering my question with perfunctory manner. "Repeat what it's written in the WOF paper, then said I dont know" . 4) IF you decided to WASTE your money, please visit them. 5) HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!

Try to have a wof here couple days days ago, charges $48, was told need to Wait about 20 mins, but after a half hour, still not star to do my car, required a refund but just refund $43. Waste time and money.

Big thanks to Raylene and John at McLean Motors for being extremely helpful in getting our trailer legal and on the road. We arrived just before closing time on a Saturday and the staff ensured we had everything required to return home to the West Coast. Much appreciated!

Went here for a WOF, the older man took at least 1 hour on it, the other week I took my dads ute here for a WOF as well and I had two cars in front of me, the same old man was doing them and 2 hours later I was still waiting. Would not recommend unless you want to be sitting in a cold waiting room for ages.

Appallingly rude, and this was the co-owner, Kevin Walker. Took an hour to go over the car with a fine tooth comb. Started because I picked him up on making up petty rules about a horn button having to be labelled. He didn't bring that up again. Lost both of us, long time customers. The six items picked up were all OK at the last WOF, same place. Petty things like transparent sticker on top left of Windscreen, been there forever, now can't be there. Can't have a dashcam, even though you can't see it because it's behind the read vision mirror. The reason they have one star is because none isn't an option. Update: flew through a WOF at another garage, even though I asked them to be very diligent.

Hit and miss on service. The guys seem to be all good however lady behind the counter can be a bit stroppy. After my initial run in with her a year or so ago I put it down to her having a bad day however after arriving an hour before closing on a Sunday was told they could not do any more cars as too many waiting. Fair enough but when I suggested they pull in their street signs / flashing lights saying they were open was greeted with the attitude again and after several 'stern' repeats of they still couldn't wof my car today (not sure why she wasn't getting that I understood and was only saying the sign should not say open) she said they would get the signs in. Based on her attitude I thought i would do a drive by just before closing and sure enough signs still there saying they were open. Petty I may be however it does not take much to be polite and reasonable. In summary guys there all good. Lady behind the counter needs to lose the attitude or find another job away from customers. I won't bother going back and will give my money to a company who has a little respect and customer service. Sad when one person let's a team down. Rob.
