The cup of tea was nice but lemon meringue pie made of condensed milk! Why? It cost more to make and doesn't actually taste nice. I actually asked before choosing it if it was really lemony. Was told yes and I didn't even get a hint of it. Just sickly sweet sugary goo. The replacement was equally bad. I'm not sure if they are trying to be different. If they are they are failing.

I LOVE Martha's Pantry, I had my bridal shower there with some very close friends of mine, and they treated us with the most yummiest baking and beautiful service. It was certainly my most favourite place here in Wellington as a foodie and restaurant junkie!

I actually wasn't that impressed I'm afraid? They ask you over the phone what you like and dislike to eat and yet when we got our high tea there was nothing that we mentioned that we liked on the plate? The blonde girl was lovely and friendly but the dark haired girl wasn't so friendly sadly? On a positive note, the Breakfast Tea was lovely. Don't think I would go back for a High Tea.

Everything about this place is gold. The staff, the tea, the cutlery, the little touches everywhere. Nice to see this end of Cuba being so re-energized after the motorway extension killed off its previous character.

Walk through the door and step into high-tea wonderland. The gorgeous girls at Martha's Pantry will wow you with the cutest tower of sweet treats and tasty morsels. Make sure you book for high tea as it is popular! I've also been for lunch, takeaway sandwiches and coffee. Best milkshakes around - esp the real coffee milkshake!

Pretty gifts so beware those with 'magpie eyes'. A hidden gem worth seeking out. You will glad you did.
