We moved out to Rewa over 3 months ago but I totally miss Mangere & I find myself always coming back to my ole stomping ground Mangere Town Cen cause the people are so friendly & there are really cool shops like 'Mangere Fashion' where I've purchased heaps of cool t-shirts 🤗
It's a great place to find diverse food to try. There is also an abundance of shops to look through.
The variety of shops is a bit lacking but there is a cool fresh fish store and if you're looking for discount islander clothing there are several good places.
A very busy community hub with a strong Pasifica flavour ,vibrant and friendly with an excellent Saturday market, one Auckland's best. The Mall is rundown dark and dingy there is a large clean modern supermarket adjacent. The community centre often features Pacific cultural events.
This lodge has a lot of potential. The manageress is an absolute asset to the place which is predominantly Island and Maori. The common areas are of very poor quality which is a reflection on the owners not management. The residents here are friendly and of the most part courteous. Overall I have enjoyed my stay here.
The town centre is so cool with shops having most, if not all, kinds of island styled foods! l only visit the Town Centre when their Saturday Markets is on and am always loving the fresh produce that's available. Also love walking through the Town Centre and seeing performances being held in the middle.
Good to have island food you will find in every time you go there
I love the town centre it's home and also every Saturdays they have markets with alot of cheap things to buy and taking the kids to walk around in there is great
Good place if you are after Pacific culture or cuisine. The exterior lay out of the complex is dirty looking with the back of the shops facing outward. A lot of rubbish and litter around too.
Seems like the only negative comments come from pretentious inbred peckerwood crackers! KEEP OUT! YOU"RE NOT WELCOMED IN MANGERE! Mangere Town Centre along with the rest of Southside Centers are the absolute best you'll get in Tamaki Makaurau!
Vibrant, bustling, a community hub. The library is fantastic for kids. Check out the aerobic class in the center area at lunchtime!
The mangere town centre has gone through and continues to proceed to be a good place to shop and eat.The amazing art center adds that touch and also local new business upgrading.
Great family atmosphere. Amazing markets on Saturday with really good fresh produce from all the vendors and really good to see that they all offer something different. The stores are easily accessible from public transport centre. The goods that the stores offer range from high end casual sports and footwear, to food and knick knacks. Discount meat market offers great value for money.
