  Friendly, helpful staff. We stayed two different times. The first time we got an upgraded room which had a great view, was spacious, and super clean. The second time we had a pretty good room. Super kitchen area! We would stay again.

  We really enjoyed staying here. We stayed in an ensuite room and it was spacious and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful also which was good. Located within walking distance to supermarket and restaurants was very convenient. Overall a very good stay

  We were a couple on our honeymoon looking to go on the Tongariro Crossing. The room was tidy, lovely and clean. Simple and comfortable.

  My wife and I booked one night at the LKNZ and as soon as we arrived we were thrilled with every aspect of our stay. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and the fully self contained room was meticulous and had everything we needed.
  We could see the snow topped mountains from just outside our room. It was a real pleasure to stay at such a lovely place and at such a reasonable price. Thankyou for making our stay so memorable.

  The room was very neat and clean. We had an ensuite double bedroom and it was just what we needed for our short weekend stay. The only issue I can point out is that the shower temperature fluctuates from scolding hot to cold intermittently without warning. Other than that no complaints, it was very close to the mountain, the supermarket and facilities. A toaster in the room would have completed the room in my opinion.

  The place was lovely. I am glad you have improved the deck, hot tub and sauna. Food was fine, and staff very pleasant and helpful.
  
  This is difficult to complete- we Kiwis took students from a variety of countries such as China, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. They had a fine timeI could not put more than one country in the slot below so just put Malaysia. Maybe you could fine tune this. Also we are not easily fitting any of your categories-wardens taking international students on snow and ski outing..

  While aspects were encouraging the overall experience of dealing & staying at the lodge were such that returning or recommending will not occur.
  The whole experience around no refund - even though my partner had to been taken to hospital due to injury is just sad, - this was the final straw after having to deal with the attitude of "we don't normally do this" as though you were doing us a favour letting us stay.
  Lodge has potential unfortunately the way in which it is run means it will never make it a popular destination accommadation.

  We were really pleased with our private room with ensuite. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. Everything looked newly renovated and was very clean. The kitchenette was well supplied for us to make our lunches for the tongariro crossing and have a coffee in the morning. We also booked the spa pool for after our hike. Great value and friendly staff helping us out when we arrived late at night.

  Great facilities and location. Well equipped rooms. Reasonably priced. Good food. Helpful staff. A hot spa under the stars after a day of physical activity. Like I said, I liked it so much I went back. I especially liked that, being there during off-peak season, it was also quiet with reduced numbers and plenty of room.

  We stayed here with our three kids. The experience was good overall. Backpacker accomodations are not my favorite, but this one was clean, warm and had all the amenities we needed including a great kitchen and two clean bathrooms and also plenty of high speed internet for free so we even got to stream a movie. I would recommend this place for sure.

  The room and the bathroom were very clean and the bed was comfortable. The man at the check in desk (Marc?) was most helpful and friendly. Breakfast was ok,. but I would have liked "real" coffee rather than instant.
