To the person concerned about her grandmother: You don't need a serviced apartment - order her in Eat Unlimited meals - costs the same as Rhyman's charge and MUCH better. The proof the the pudding ! is that I ordered these for my adult father (not in retirement village) and after a year he is THRIVING. Great food.

Hi guys - I don't know if you would be interested but this absolutely makes my blood boil. My elderly grandmother who has just been discharged from hospital with a heart condition lives in Jean Sandel Rest home in Taranaki NZ. This is their main meals for the day 2 parsnips a half cooked sausage and 2 scoops of mashed spud. They get no alternative to what they get served. They pay $12 for their main meal $6 for their evening - which normally consists of a boiled egg. She stays in a serviced apartment where if you want to be showered it costs around $30 a time (home help does it for free)to administer or supervise medication being taken another $6 per time. I think it needs to be published the amount of elderly people that are getting taken advantage of!! The price of a serviced apartment costs more than $200,000.and then there is all the hidden costs!! Its out right robbery in broad daylight!! When is enough enough!!! These places are marketed so well and look amazing yet it is all based on appearances!! The level of resident care is mediocre!!
