Best pies, best muffins and great service. What more could you ask for? Would definatly recomend. Owners go out of there way to help you and provide you with valued information. Will definatly visit when next in beautiful NZ. Keep up the good work guys!
Great pies and baking
You know when you're on the road and wondering where you might stop to grab a bite? This is the sort of place you dream about finding by pure chance on a road trip. You don't find it - it finds you
The owner is a friendly guy and you can tell he's got passion for the craft. Ask about the smoked plum ketchup that he makes. Superb home-made pies, cakes and tarts etc. Good coffee. And the real show-stopper was the chipscooked in beef fat as we all know chips should be. Highly recommended.
We stopped here completely by chance driving from Motueka to the West Coast - and cannot recommend it highly enough. This is a truly local store, serving world class burgers (seriously up there with the best we have ever tasted). The owner is really friendly and welcoming, and gave us some tips on places to see on our way down the coast. On a cold and rainy day this was the perfect remedy - definitely make a stop here if you're nearby!
Awesome burger. Tasty whitebaitsammy.
Very clean. Supernice staff!
Don't be fooled by its modest look: this place has the best burgers we've tasted in New Zealand! Moreover, the staff went above and beyond and made the burgers in exactly the same way we requested (needless to say, it wasn't in menu)
The lady inside is really lovely but the last two times that we've stopped there, we've parked in the carpark and a guy with long hair and a moustache has been there.
He has on both occasions been very rude, yelling at us and saying nasty things. If I knew that that guy was not going to be there, I would shop there in a heartbeat, but I guess I won't be stopping at Inangahua General Store to shop ever again until I know that that weird dude won't throw a tantrum when I park in "his" carpark.
Very nice place to stop between Reefton and Murchison considering that there is no shop or convenience store miles around.
Very welcoming hosts. They have a map of the world where guests can pin where they come from. So cute :-)
There is ice cream, homemade pies, desserts, coffee. Same location has a shop with different grocery items.
Just next door there is a town hall with photo exhibits from a devastating earthquake that happened in the area in the 1960s. Very educating.
