Some staff there need to be trained in retail protocol to help them do their job properly and need to upgrade their customer service mannerisms, talking about a lady there named Kelly. What a snappy, incompetent unprofessional staff member nelson hunting n fishing have on their team there. Went to swap a top which was the wrong size today and top was on special compared to prior few days beforehand when it was bought, in retail the customer is entitled to a swap and credit of price difference under those circumstances. This Kelly snapped hastily when this was bought up with her n stormed off to get the manager who confirmed there was an entitlement to a credit and swap, and was actually a great help all round with other enquiries.

In response to your reply, hunting and fishings "law" must be totally different to the rest of nz retailors then as I randomly went into shops and presented this exact situation to the managers of these shops and they all stated that what I said is the correct procedure that is meant to be followed.
I suggest that instead of trying to save face on this review just take it on the shoulder and admit your staff member was wrong in both her rude abrupt mannerism and her lack of retail protocol and procedures.
Most places would want to correct the service to their customers that is applied to their customers by their staff instead of accepting that the way your staff member treated a customer was ok to do???? That's the real issue here is it not???? Or does a customers experience in your shop that is directly influenced by your staffs dealings and mannerism not count for anything in nelson hunting and fishing???response / report this review -

Mixed experience today shopping with my 6yr old for his entry level boat rod. A young college or school lever was keen and enthusiastic and very helpful. Whilst i'm being served a sweaty tubby fella shouts "stop doing that" to the 6yr old for winding the handle of a reel. Upsetting the 6yr old customer we left and will buy online elsewhere.
Note to fat guy !! 6yr olds have way more spending time than the 47yr old dad. If he'd been wrecking the store or frantically winding the handle - yes - tell him to stop. Winding a handle on a reel steadily to hear the noise (isn;t that what the handle is for) isn't really going to damage a fixed spool reel, or is the quality of reel you sell too poor? Poor show on your behalf- bad judgement - lack of skills across your customer demographic.
Just bought with fullonfishing the 1st of likely many many combos.response / report this review
