Very cute little chocolate shop and we were served by a very friendly middle-aged man who was helpful and polite. We bought a chocolate lolly-pop for a toddler and one of the brownies and a couple of other things. All were amazing. We were given free chocolate too which was a nice surprise! The hand-decorated chocolates are beautiful

Additional notes: parking is hard to find in the marketplace center.

I am a regular buyer of the chilli chocolate tablet and totally rate it as the best in the world. Given this and the fact that chilli is addictive imagine my dismay when I just found that it is not being made at the moment. Please, please bring it back ASAP.

If you are in Matakana and like top quality chocolate make sure that you stop in at Honest Chocolate. The staff were lovely and there were so many gorgeous choices. We went with the taste of Matakana where they had paired up with other local products to make chocolate flavours. Yum!

This was the stop after lunch to get a chocolate fix. The shop is located beside the large staircase leading to the road from the Market area. It is quite small but does have a see through wall to the kitchen where you can watch them make the treats. The small shop has a fair selection of different chocolates in a myriad of different forms. I tried their hot chocolate. The marshmallow that came with it was good. I had a choice of chocolate or blueberry and I went with chocolate. The hot chocolate itself was quite dark. It had quite a strong flavour that was almost too bitter. It did mellow out when it cooled down a bit.
It was a nice stop to look at interesting and tasty chocolates.

Delicious artisan chocolates in all shapes, sizes, and flavors. Hot chocolate and various flavors of drinks available, with a spinning wheel if you can decide! The prices reflect the level of attention to detail, so if you want a special gift this is the place!
