Harvey Norman is a great place to go shopping if you want to spend more on things than anywhere else! They have great furniture and electronics but are always heavily overpriced. The staff there get paid in commissions it seems as they always bother me as soon as I walk in. I would not recommend Harvey Norman to anyone.

I purchased a computer a year ago from Harvey Norman which was promised it would suit my needs. I had nothing but problems and a run around from them for months to the point I received credit for the computer and nothing else after spending a lot of my money.
I have never been so unhappy with the service as they are happy to take your money and when something doesn't work like to muck you around. I would be very careful of any promises made and wouldn't shop here again.response / report this review -

I was absolutely wrapped with the service I received at Harvey Norman today. I bought a bedroom suite 2 tvs and a cake mixer. Everyone was awesome thankyou.

We had the amazing pleasure of buying a lounge suite from Harvey Norman the mount, we went in as tyre kickers and came out only a little bit poorer ( it was sale time). But really really happy with our buy and the help we received from fabulous sales man Kris, thanks dude,

Over the last few years I have bought several items from the electronic section, cameras, lenses, laptops and notebook. With each occasion when I have had a problem trying to get it rectified has been a nightmare. When sales assistance promise to ring you and don't. When they order goods for you and you have to wait 6 months for it to arrive. When trying to sell you something they all have the gift of the gab and tell you things do this that and the other and you buy the product because of it, when it actually doesn't do what they say it was going to they deny all knowledge. The manager told me he didn't work on a Sunday or Monday and then when I ended up ring the store because they had not rung me as promised (yet again) this person told me he would go consult with them, put you on hold and then come back and tell you there has not been enough time to find the problem. (The person who they consulted was nowhere to be seen when I turned up at the store half hour later, probably still at home having his day off!) When they advise you not to purchase goods from Hong Kong because although it may be cheaper you don't get any guarantee. Well here's the newsNOR DOES HARVEY NORMAN. This store has got to be the worst for problem solving and customer service I have ever come across. Hopefully I will never have to be in there again. Poor service and staff who lie, no not a shop for me.
