  Great location, beautifully renovated rooms. Just a few steps away from clear water beach and cafés. The rooms are fully equipped and internet connection is decent. We'll definitely return to this lodge next time we're in Russell.
  The reason I give 4 stars is because guests are allowed to smoke in the premises and we smell it in our room.

  We had a wonderful weekend stay at Hananui Lodge. The Management was virtuous and informative and the complimentary electric vehicle charging was the cherry on top. We will definitely be back!

  Stayed in unit 3 in November 2014. Very well priced for a modern, clean and tidy, quiet motel. The bed was super comfy for my partner and I. No bad backs in the morning! The spa room is awesome - tidy, clean, well ventilated and complete with its own shower, toilet and spa towels. The spa booking system is nice and simple too. No need to bother reception, just write your room number at the desired time slot on the blackboard and turn up with your key. Excellent idea! And finally, the host was very friendly and helpful and gave us a rundown of some of the sights to visit in Russell. Highly recommend.
