曾經是運送金礦的重要鐵路，目前保留Waihi至Waikino段約30分鐘的金礦列車體驗之旅，可以欣賞沿路美麗鄉村風光及了解淘金史，值得一遊。除了搭乘此景觀歷史火車外，可搭配在Waihi參觀目前還在運作的金礦坑。

Terrible service from the rude old man in the Blues rugby shirt at the ticket counter who couldn't even be bothered to raise his head from the newspaper to talk to us when we asked for tickets to Waihi. Mumbling and unintelligible, he was as welcoming as a cornered snake. Mate, you're in a service business - if you can't be bothered to try, don't.
