Amazing hidden gem. Worth all the off-road driving. Campsite has all necessary facilities.

Best camp site on the west coast of NZ! Ocean, rainforest, and glaciers in a single panoramic view. Amazing.

It's a good place to come out of cloudy weather of Fox Glacier or Franz Josef Glacier. Has effluent emptying infrastructure and a restroom. Beach is not really exceptional. Walks around parking lot are good. It is a historical place for gold mining.

Great place for freedom camping, but the road to get there is quite narrow. The pebble Beach right next to it is so desolate and beautiful. The view of the mountain is supposed to be, but we were there during a rainy cloudy day and couldn't see much.
