Food nice but not extraordinary. We were with a moderate sized group and the small area we sat in became very noisy. Staff friendly and pleasant.

Had lunch here, the food and the service were good, i guess what you expect for pub food but nothing more. Seafood chowder which i had only had one smallish piece of garlic bread, normally you get more bread than this with soup or chowder. The building is fitted out to a very high standard. I would go back.

The area is very large and spacious which is great but my steak wasn't cooked very well. The restaurant is located far out of Rangiora but otherwise the restaurant is relatively nice and I would probably come back in the near future.

I can't believe the negative reviews here.We went to Five stags last night and it couldn't have been better. I had the Ribs great flavors and very generous portion sizes. Great decor inside with a couple of very impressive stag heads. Emerson beer on tap. What more could you ask for. Service was excellent will definitely be going back.
