Staff are super friendly and helpful, they actually know what their talking about when you ask them about items on the menu. Menu has a great variety of both mains and dessert. View is spectacular as well—day or night.

Worst pizza in town, every time I go here the pizza is a soggy mess then get told by friends it's "traditional". Not only is the pizza horrible, but breakfast is abismal, $19 for a piece of toast with a fried egg and shaved ham?! Lucky starfish is beside them so the esplanade can pick up their overflow customers.

Fabulous atmosphere. Great staff. Gorgeous food. Shared multiple dishes with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. Will definitely be going back to try more of the menu!

One of our favourite Dunedin restaurants. Authentic Italian food in a beautiful space by the sea. Wonderful menu choices - their handmade ravioli is off the hook! Family friendly and great for dinner, but also a great place to meet friends for a drink and nibbles.

Great place for kids with good kids menu (which they adapted for a couple of fussy eaters) and the kids able to access the beach outside to run off steam. The gnocci was superb and emersons 1812 on tap.

This restaurant have the best pizza in Dunedin. The service is excellent and the ambience of the place with the roaring fireplace is most welcome on a cold winter's night. We were all very happy eating and having a good conversation. The place is always full and there is no reservation. First come first serve.

I was really impressed by the traditional style Italian pizza I ate and helpful customer service including going above and beyond when I enquired about one option and chose another they brought a sample of the one I didn't choose so I know to try it next time. I would definitely go back. They seem to listen to customers too. Last time I went they didn't have chips but they have chips now!
