I booked a 2 hour surf lesson, with wetsuit and board included, for $60 pp. We had so much fun learning and seeing the Hector dolphins interact with us! Ross was a great volunteer instructor for Nick and was a very patient teacher. The only negative was Nick telling Ross to bring us out after an hour in the water. I paid for 2 hours, and didn't appreciate having to debate that with Ross mid lesson. I understand most people are tired and done after an hour, but that's up to the customer, not Nick, if the deal was for 2 hours.

Why go swimming with dolphins when you can surf with them? ;-) There are not enough stars to rate this experience and most helpful instructor.

Learning to surf with Nick in Curio Bay was the most incredible experience! Got up on first try! Nick is a great instructor! Accommodations at backpackers was excellent cosy and small, felt right at home! Definitely a must do!
