  Ausgezeichnet - diese Unterkunft gehört zu den den besten Motels, die wir in Neuseeland hatten. Die Gastgeber waren zudem sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

  Had a great stay at Carters by the Sea! Probably the strongest Wifi of any place I have stayed. A great location right across the street from the beach and a short drive from the Cape Foulwind Sea Colony! Chris was very knowledgeable about things to explore on the West Coast. The rooms were clean and modern. I would definitely recommend it to anyone holidaying on the West Coast!

  On our recent trip through New Zealand we stopped by at Carters Beach and stayed at this beautiful brand new Motel. Location is perfect right at the beach. The rooms are bright (full front windows), spacious and fully equipped with stove, microwave and fridge (if you feel the urge to cook or eat-in). Being on holiday though we rather checked out the nice restaurant which is ideally located next door and were not disappointed. Our little 4 year old daughter felt right at home which was also accommodated by the extremely friendly owners Erica and Chris. Even though we did not make much use of it we enjoyed the cable TV and the complimentary WI-FI. There is plenty of on-site parking available. Bathroom, well, not much to say as it is brand new, 10/10. At night it could get a bit chilly outside but that was no problem for us as the heater in the room worked great (and insulation was good too - no drafts).
  There are quite a few things to visit around:
  Seal colony (about 10 mins drive),
  Pan Cake Rocks in Punakaiki (40 mins drive)
  Golf course right by the sea (3 minute drive)
  
  We would definitely stay there again and can only recommend this motel to anyone who visits the West coast.
