Cottages set in beautiful farmlike surroundings. Welcoming & friendly resident ducks, chickens & pigs. Host accommodating & friendly. We stayed in the "Air" cottage which in my opinion needed a good clean of cobwebs in corners and maybe a mopping of floor, sofa beds in lounge only suitable for smaller children, but overall a nice relaxing stay. Close to all shops & cafes in Kerikeri.

We stayed for our Wedding Anniversary and the setting was lovely but the Air cottage was filthy particularly the bathroom. We did not get a helpful response from reception saying he was not a cleaner and the cleaner would be back tomorrow. Very upsetting stay especially when they only cleaned the bath the next day nothing else, not even making the bed.

Our party of three spent two nights in one of Avalon's self-contained cottages set in a beautiful park like setting (mere minutes from the Kerikeri town centre). The cottage was well appointed and very comfortable - made more so by the effort the staff went to on our evening arrival to have heating and lighting set to create a welcoming ambience. Willem and his team were very friendly and most accommodating. We cannot recommend Avalon enough and will certainly be staying again should we pass that way in the future.

Recently my husband and I stayed for two weeks at Avalon while we visited relatives in Kerikeri. We were totally happy with our visit. Willam, the resort manager, was most accommodating to our every need.
The resort is a quiet, peaceful location in a valley just a block from town. The resident ducks, chickens, and pigs added to the fun of our stay. We will most certainly stay there on our future visits to Kerikeri.
