We stayed at the Avalon Motel earlier this week and even though they are currently upgrading the whole motel we were very satisfied with our room. it was spacious, well set out and most of all very clean. the service on both arrival and check out was excellent, a very pleasant stay. We will definitely recommend the Avalon and will stay there again when we next visit Thames.

Actually there was no more vacancy when I went to this Motel, but the guy was very nice and friendly. He let me sleep in my tent in the garden for free !

Lovely old building and very clean. Upon arrival we were met by a lovely attendant who was very helpful and upgraded our single room to an upstairs one bedroom apartment. Very spacious with lots of room and a very colourful kitchen. Quite clean outside as well. Overall a great little motel for anyone going up the Coromandel. My only complain was that the fan broke down when it was so hot so we had to open all the windows. Overall it was a nice motel and without a doubt I would stay there again.
