The rooms are very pleasant and I would stay here again, however getting changed i damaged my hand on the damn stupid ceiling fan and it really hurt. I don't know why you would put a ceiling fan in a hotel room when you could have a heat pump that is as far less electricity to run and also provides heat in the winter. For the $199 per night it seems reasonably expensive. The beds are comfortable the sheets are extremely nice and the Internet is free which is a very pleasant surprise. Travelling for business this is quite fine, I didn't notice the breakfast order forms until it was too late in the evening and so won't be having breakfast here in the morning. It is extremely quiet. There is quite a lot of space although the room is hot and I am not looking forward to going to sleep with the fan on and the window open given that it is only mid-November and only the beginning of Summer. Could not recommend staying in this place during the heat of Summer I think I would struggle. I have dropped a star because of the price the heat in spring, and that my hand rather hurts quite a lot and I'm going to have a bruise for the next couple weeks.

We stayed here because we attended the Rugby League game Tonga vs Kiwis. Great stay, staff were so friendly and accomodating, rooms are well equipped and are big. Bonus we has a room with jet tub!! Amazing super relaxing. Close to town, perfect when we needed to catch taxi's everywhere. Would definatley reccommend to others thanks so much. We will stay again.

Was mostly a pleasant stay. Room was clean and tidy but disappointed that there were never enough car park spaces free for me to usewhy have 27 rooms and not 27 car parking spaces? Plumbing is very noisy and could hear neighbours all around us showering etc. Other than that a good stay.

I was quite disappointed with this motel. On arrival I was met by women in pyjamas, the office smelt very strong of cooking. The fridge in the room woke me up every time it came on, I asked about having it fixed and they said to just turn it off. I was booked for 6 nights. I could hear water running from other rooms and it was so noisy like it sounded like it was coming from my room. I asked for a second key and it was a hassle. There are so many motels in Hamilton. The location was good, handy to walk into the centre of town. I suggest shopping around I will not be back.

I booked and paid for 3 nights' accomodation at Ashwood Manor and stayed in room 29. I had the most horrific experience after being bitten by bed bugs and ended up with approximately 100 bites! I had to go to my GP and then a specialist dermatologist which cost me hundreds of dollars and I'm now left with severe scaring on my back, arms and legs. I called the hotel a number of times and initially they tried to deny that there was a problem. They finally refunded me the money for the accomodation and said they'd bring in professionals to treat the room. I'm horrified that they didn't offer to pay for my medical bills and offer some type of compensation. I'd never stay there again or recommend it to anyone else. Everyone beware!

Clean, but: Pictures of rooms are nicer than reality. Unfriendly chaotic check-in. Spa did not work. WIFI was unstable, continental breakfast was more a joke. Bed was bad.

We stayed here for two nights while travelling to Corromandel. The accommodation itself is fine, very comfortable and clean. However the customer service is appalling. We were informed by the front desk (after payment of the room) that two bookings had been made. We were unsure how this had happened and tried to work through the options with the front desk reception (later advised he is the manager). The manager blatantly told us there was nothing he could do and we needed to contact Expedia directly to request refund. We could not understand this as he has just charged us through the efftpos machine on site an hour prior to this. We asked to speak to the manager or owner and were told that he was the manager and the owners were away on holidays. We asked for the owners contact information and he refused to give it to us. He went on about how he could not refund us the money for the extra room as it would come out of his pay and he is on a working visa and didn't want to jeopardize that. He then proceeded to call us "fools" followed by we were the ones that booked two rooms and it was our problem. We were furious by the inappropriate comments that were made towards us as guests and that he was not willing to work this out. Staying there for two nights was painful!! We had to take our suitcases and items with us through the day as we were fearful of what this guy was capable of. This was extremely stressful and very disappointing. The positive in all this was that other guests overheard the discussions in reception and came to check in on us. We are saddened to have to write a review such as this but we need to be honest to future guests and we can only hope that this is addressed with the receptionist or manager as we have heard positive things about the owners.

Very clean spacious room, within walking distance to town and night life. Off street parking and very nice hosts. Has access to everything one needs for a night away from home. Must insure you can connect to free WiFi before reception closes
