Very nice hut, one of the biggest. Very popular, but comfortable and quiet in night hours. You have to take your own sleeping bag (or rent it at water taxi offices. Anchorage buy is about 4/ 4 hour and a half from the town, however its possibile through water taxi to reach any bay and then head to the hut. Remember to reserve via DOC website.

Easily the nicest hut you will see in a while! Hut must be prebooked in high season as its crazy popular. Hut was built in 2013, great large lounge area with woodburning stove, huge kitchen with stainless steel benches and sinks (no cookers - bring your own), device charging station inside! Electric lighting inside on a photometric and motion sensor. Filtered drinking water available. Stainless steel flushing loos. Beds are in 4rooms of 8 beds per room - set onto a common verandah. Bag slots in rooms. Individual (not communal) bunk beds with mattresses. MDF benches and seats in common room. Fantastic view to beach and sunrise/sunset. 30seconds walk to a gorgeous beach. Lots of wild birds around hut. Fantastic hut to stay in. Really sets the bar high for future DOC huts in popular locations. Refer DOC website for more info. DOC ranger was funny and really decent and helpful.
