  Congratulations to the new owners, Claus and Julia. Two talented chefs, so I guess this place is going to become even more popular with the locals. I loved the espresso ice cream, a yummy treat enjoyed at a great location.

  Love this place! Owners are wonderful people, treat locals well. Food is fantastic, offering healthy options at a reasonable price for what is offered. Coffee is fantastic too.

  The presentation of the food and availability of food that caters to dietary requirements was great. The food itself and the service wasn't quite at the same standard as the rest of Mapua, but that's a pretty high bar to set.
  If the venue was more laid back and less modern, I don't think you'd expect such efficiency, but it looks like a high turnover venue with lots of takeaways, so I was surprised that they seemed so flustered by a small crowd.

  I wanted to give Albertas a 5 yet couldn't due to a few areas. #1 the place is in NZ yet it feels like it's trying to be American, even the names of products (cookies vs. biscuits) I came to NZ as an American to experience NZ, not to feel like I was in America again.

  Prime location, nice building, good seating inside and out. Very popular place on a sunny day. It's just a pity the service was deplorable and the food, if that's what you could call it, was not only extremely over priced but disgusting. $5.50 For a small muffin. $12.90 For a very small, microwaved, savory tart. It took 15 minutes to microwave it, they had to be reminded that I was waiting for it, and when it arrived, it was cold in the center. There were 3 staff behind the counter one dicing a pumpkin and the other 2 were more intent on continuing their own little conversation than serving the customers. Won't be back.
