  With a recent upgrade of a new cafe area, this airport is getting better, and thus deserves a four star review. My only real beef with this airport now is that there is no air-conditioning in the check-in area; only a few ceiling fans to cool you while you wait for the lines to thin. The new cafe is air conditioned, as is the departure lounge. Service may be slower than travellers may be used to, but that's Nauru! What can I say? Island time

  The moment you get off at this airport, your hitchhike tour begins. You can ask the security guard to find you someone to take you to the hotel.
  
  In the past days many people would gather and jog on the runway, but as of March 2015, no one dit that anymore as there was a small accident, so I heard.
  
  Services are very slow due to the small number of crews. You might notice the airport workers behaves very differently from what the average Nauruans do.

  Spectacular. Land reclamation. Retro aircraft. Isolation. Japanese engineering. And the place for the
  most emotional of reunions and goodbyes.
