Little guest house very well placed, close to durbar square. Personnel is nice and helpful and care for you. Breakfast is simple but good (toast & jam, gratted potatoes and pancake). Given the price do not expect a palace, but this is perfectly fine for a couple of nights.

The partners who are owners are lovely. They really made my stay at Tulaja and in Bhaktapur totally enjoyable! My room was more than adequate for one person. I enjoyed the rooftop views over the town and sitting in the lobby area to socialize. The location is very central to all of the cultural sites. The free breakfast was more than ample.”

We stayed for 7 nights and loved it! Lovely host family who can give great tips, activities and information about Bhaktapur, and breakfast was included daily! There is a lot of construction and redevelopment throughout Bhaktapur after the 2015 earthquake & also lots of vehicular traffic outside so don't expect it to be super quiet (earplugs for sleeping might help if you're a light sleeper) but the location, hospitality and room quality of Tulaja make it amazing regardless!

Ok. Nice staff, room ok. Old building, need some tlc. Had to ask for the room to be cleaned! Rooftop was messy, no restaurant.

Tulaja Boutique Hotel is located at center of Bhaktapur Durbar square. It has beautiful rooftop from where you can see 360 degree view. It is well furnished comfortable beds and furniture are new. staff and hotel owner are very friendly. One can finds family environment in tulaja
