Very very disappointing experience, wait for the doctor at emergency for 7 hours...... And still didn't show up.
Being one of the biggest government hospital should maintent the reputation but all the toilets were either closed or need to pay just to used smelly, dirty. ...where you hardly can breathe... Don't have words to explain that situation....
99% of the medicine prescribed by the doctor's were not available at hospitals pharmacy. Need to look other private pharmacy where we're forced to pay high price....
Overall just disaster in the name of Biggest Government Hospital...!
Teaching hospital is one of the biggest government hospital in the country. This hospital provide health facilities to the people in affordable price. This hospital not only provide health facility but also provide health education as well.
No Objevction this is Largest Hospital in Nepal, Health Services here are not upto Mark. One of my Friend is Asthmic, After Screening, X-rays the Doctor here told that she is okay, However at the Same time she was not able to Breathe Normally. This was quiet shocking for me. Better health services is a need of Nepalese, and this hospital is only hope.
Good hospital @ observation bed. Emergency part is too crowed. 3 persons in one bed. No safety issue. Better progress and give good hospitality.
Its a good Hospital. The only problem for me was to get the reports..
It took longer than we thought.
The area is huge. Have their own sector for Check ups..
Their own bathroom is not so much clean but you can get private Toilets..
It is one of the oldest and busiest hospitals in Nepal. People prefer it as it has sophisticated equipments and reliable services. The hospital is built with the help of government of Japan. There is long queue of patients which shows its quality service to the patients. The service is quite good but there are rooms for improvements!
One of the best, busiest, well equipped and cheapest hospital in Nepal. But the management is poor. May be due to overload of the patients.
One of the oldest and busiest hospital and medical institution of Nepal. It has good parking facilities as well as facilitated very well wheelchair accessible environment in most of its premises. Staffs doesn't seems that friendly and easy to deal with. Situated at a central place
One of the few best government hospitals of Nepal. It's more than just a hospital. It teaches and produce good quality doctors and nurses. This hospital has wide variety of facilities, for example, pediatrics, gynecologis, cardiovascular, opthalmologic, orthopedic, physiotherapy, general medicine and physician etc., And both out and in patient departments.
T. U. Teaching Hospital is a non profitable hospital situated in Kathmandu. It is the central referral hospital and deals with all type of diseases.
Well equipped government hospital of Nepal under TU, where we can see queue of people so often. Once I was refered from Civil service hospital, Baneshwor after accident but didn't get a bed and went to Neuro Hospital Bansbari.. Hospital was so crowded that I was keept in passage in that condition too....
Nepal's Teaching Hospital under Tribhuvan University, IOM (Institute Of Medicine). This hospital was inaugurated by Kind Birendra Bir Bikram Shah on February 1986.
Well equipped, good infrastructure but needs management improvements
The Nurse that was there at the time was completely Useless
seemed to have no regard or respect for patients & their information or situation. And was very rude and snippy.
Too many patients yet the hospital staffs, medical students and hospital environment looks way good to handle them with good medical care...happy to be a part of it...
Best government hospital in town with best dr. and best service. But still you can not give 5 star. There are many things that should be fixed.
Too many patient come here to treat as this is the oldest and renowned hospital in kathmadu. Medical studies are also conducted here. It is a government hospital.
One of the oldest hospitals of Nepal. Fully owned by Government of Nepal. Services are improving.
There are too many patients for the workforce to handle and give decent services. The emergency service in this hospital is too slow. Being one of the biggest hospitals in Nepal, it really requires a lot of maintenance and training to be a professional hospital.
One of the oldest medical colleges cum hospital that has been providing good services for the patient and the students for their study but sometime the unwanted political powers influences both management, students and doctors, it'd have been better if it could run independently as a service unit...
Institute of Medicine (IOM) was established with the following goals:
- Production of human resources for health services
- Provide health services through its health institutions
- Conduct research in health sciences
Needs bit more proper management.
