Shree Janamarga Higher Secondary School started as a small pre-primary school opened by local social workers in (2015 BS). It is situated in Siluwa-1, Maslang, Palpa. After the introduction of democracy in (2007 BS), many schools were established in cities and towns of the country but rural areas were deprived of education. This was the first school of Siluwa VDC. Established and run under the local effort and financial aid, the school got approval from the District Education Office on (2018 BS). So, (2018 BS) is considered to be its establishment year.

During its establishment, most of the local people were illiterate and very few knew about the importance of education. People had to go to neighboring country of India and work there in order to fulfill basic requirement of their family. Transportation and other infrastructure were not available and people had to walk more than nine hours just to reach the nearest post office situated in the district headquarters. In those circumstances, education was a least priority for the people. At first, it was very hard for the school to get students but with endless effort of the local literate people and the teachers, the school got sufficient students and upgraded itself from pre-primary to primary school in (2018 BS). It remained a primary school for next 16 years and in (2035 BS), it got approval from the District Education Office to start lower secondary level. It became secondary school and higher secondary school in (2053 BS and 2065 BS) respectively.

The school started from a small building of two rooms. With the continued effort of the local people and through donations from different NGOs and INGOs, the school has been able to build 7 small buildings including 1 building for library.

At present, the school is providing education to more than seven hundred students from more than 3 Village Development Regions of the Area. Students travel more than an hour and cross several hills to attain the class. Currently, School has been able to provide Employment to 21 teaching and 2 non-teaching Staffs.
