Viet Ngon Saigon Pho is the one and only Vietnamese restaurant in Kathmandu. It is centrally located in Lazimpat, directly across from the Shangri-La Hotel. It is within walking distance for residents of Baluwatar, Rani-bari, Maharajgunj, and Pani-pokhari. It has ample parking space.

Viet Ngon Saigon Pho currently has seating capacity for 86 people in a two-story building; it accommodates seven tables on the ground floor, 16 tables on the upper floor and four tables on the beautiful terrace.

The design is simple but elegant, with dark wooden chairs and tables with bamboo mats on each table along with chopsticks and wooden sauce bowls. The walls are decorated with paintings depicting Vietnamese culture and traditions. There is also a popular balcony where people can enjoy the view of Lazimpat and the Shangri-La Hotel. Saigon Pho is a perfect to gather with family and friends, as well as for the single diner.

Viet Ngon Saigon Pho places great emphasis on cleanliness, and the ambience is peaceful. Guests can focus on the food, and enjoy the ultra-fresh flavors of Vietnamese dishes, which are prepared by Vietnamese cooks.

There is very little oil used, and the cuisine is known for its liberal use of herbs and spices such as lemongrass, basil, mint, cilantro, and bean sprouts.
