Pleasant surprise. Located in the heart of Thamel yet it feels like you are out of the Kathmandu. This clean an quite local is a great place to relax and recharge. Great coffees and drinks.

A cozy restaurant with varieties of food and drinks. I personally liked the dining in the garden. Food is delicious. Crispy Duck breast is their special dish. Much recommended :)

Without a doubt the best good I have had in the whole of Nepal! I took a gamble on the duck breast, it was included in the chefs specials. I was a bit nervous realising that I hadn't seen a single duck in the whole of Nepal! But when it came boy was it amazing! Cooked to perfection and the sauce was marvellous. I had carrot cake for dessert and it also was delicious. Would recommend this 100 times over.

Rosemary kitchen was a delightful place for a meal. Staff were super attentive and food was beautiful, both in the way it was presented and in the eating of it.

Firstly, I'm from Brunswick in Melbourne where there is one of the snobbiest, most intense coffee cultures in the world. I have absolutely no qualms in saying the espresso I had here was the best I've had all year, including the ones I drink at home. I don't like to comment about coffee too much, but seriously, this coffee is unreal.

After returning from our trekking and spending time in Pokhara we were looking forward to better food that Kathmandu could offer us. Reading reviews has been a better option then just dropping into random spots to satisfy our cravings. Rosemary had some reviews on Eggs Benny and it's a staple in our household. We have tried this dish in the past and with no luck on quality or taste. We always order a second 'safer' dish in the event the other selected dish is inedible. EGGS BENEDICT: eggs were cooked perfect. No white run and yoke easily ran when broken. English style muffin (our preferred choice of bun). Ham of sorts, a smoked style of deli meat and the sauteed veg was between the meat and egg, (better served as the side in our opinion). Hollandaise sauce was cooked right just not much flavor. The sauce on Benny the "icing on the cake". For Nepal it was above average from what we have had thus far. For Westerners it is average or below.

We went here for breakfast and were not overly impressed. The service was slow but staff are very helpful and friendly. The place has a nice ambience and is clean. Decent beverages (coffee and tea), and food is typical western style.

We came here twice for breakfast/brunch & prices, portions & quality were good. However, our experience at lunch was pretty disappointing. Portion sizes were small for the price & the food tasted bad. Ordering "nachos" was definitely a mistake. They are cheese Doritos with a "hot salsa" that is not hot. The flavors don't match at all. Definitely come here, but just for breakfast.

I liked the masala chai which came along with the 'simple breakfast' : toasted bread with butter and omelette. Good ambience in the morning, welcoming smile of the host, garden seating decorated with photos and paintings etc made me feel at home.

Went on Saturday for lunch, not crowded at that time. Service was good during this time. Portion of pasta was big, enough for 2 pax. Most of the dishes can be shared as portions are big. A bit warm sitting in the small garden.

The Duck Breast was very good, tender and soft, exceeded my expectations. Also the salad was good. It is a bit of walk if staying on the outskirt of Thamel. The staff was helpful and friendly. The courtyard was quite small, crowded with tables and chairs. If the neighboring table talks a bit louder, then it would be like a talk show going on, only you are forced to be an audience, mostly would not be amused.

After reading reviews online we decided to try the Rosemary Kitchen & Cafe and we weren't disappointed. In fact we were so impressed we returned on multiple occasions and even visited the Pokhara restaurant too!
The food is extremely tasty and reasonable for the quality of the food. Plenty of options on the menu from the local cuisine to pastas and burgers.
There's service is fantastic and I urge anyone who's nearby to give this place a try I'm sure you won't regret it!report this review -

Beautiful garden setting and the staff were perfect! Very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. We ordered a side and didn't receive it, there was no apology but it's a very minor thing. The food was also average. We only orderd rice and noodles though, other dishes looked nice.

We Came twice. That says something. Really recommend this place in Nepal. There is another one in Pokhara. Same food there. The boss is really nice and fair. The food is served a bit slow sometimes since they have a quality control for each dish. So be patient when u r here.

Varied menu and delicious food. They state that salad and fresh fruit are washed in clean bottled water.

Great restaurant that serves quality food and drinks. The service is fantastic and the wait staff are very efficient. Went to both of their restaurants in Thamel and Pokhara. The cheesecake is a must try!

The food is good, service is wonderful, great stuff. We ask about leaving our luggage for couple hours - no problem! And prices are affordable.

Had the Christmas special - welcome drink, smoked chicken salad, crispy duck breast, chocolate cake with ice cream cognac and green tea - all included and really good! In Denmark we have duck every Christmas eve, and this is honestly the best duck I've ever had! Attentive service personnel and a good vibe here too. One of the best restaurants in Kathmandu.
