I came here on New Year's Eve and fell in love with the local music scene. It is probably the best and biggest music venue in Thamel. Perfect for big groups.

I go there for the music so no complaints there. Hats off to the musicians and the amazing sound system. Although the playlist needs some changes.
The entire place looks amazing.
I would ask for better seating arrangements and less crowd but then again it's a rock bar.
All in all it gets a little too crowded but the music's worth it.response / report this review -

Best spot to kick it in Kathmandu. I made a close Nepalese friend my second day there and I asked, "where do we kick it around here?" His response was simple, "Purple Haze is always bumpin'!" The Strings are a great band which preforms here often.

The most happening place in Thamel.
With live music of international standards and frequent features of renowned musician, this place is a a big YES if you want to have a great time.

Best place in Kathmandu for great live performances. Packed most days off the week. Live rock music is probably the best in town.

Very nice place for live rock/heavy music and get some booze. Many sit places if you just want enjoy the show. Entrance from the street but not hidden.

I like this place. the drinks are comparatively cheaper, huge crown, the music is the best part. The worst thing is you can find a seat here, so you end up standing up for hours.
