Nicely constructed Ashram site with bunch of temples and yoga hall in name of Pilot Baba (Somnath Giri). Located on the hill top western shoulder of Gampe Dada, is an idle spot to visit with friends and family.
Being an Indian Air Force fighter jet pilot, deliberate him as Pilot Baba.

Good place to go for few hours hiking with friends and family. Yes you can also reach there by private vehicles as there's black topped pitch road. You can visit Ashram and don't forget to reach Ghyampe Dada from there 5min way to top by vehicle

Its on top of a hill in kathmandu or we could say Bhaktapur area. Best place to go hiking with friends. Here is a Temple of Lord Shivaya and along with there is a great scenery (just amazing). From personal experience, going cycling here is fantastic for riders but its kinda would be exhausting for people who aren't used to it but anyway you could go hiking. The roads a little messy but not that much bad also. You can reach the temple through the route from the forest also kinda adventurous. At the top there are not very much stores so bringing food or water would be alright as in the road reaching the top you wont find a single store. Good place to for people who like hiking.

A nice place to visit especially with group of friends for the purpose of an outing or also for the picnic.

Especially the people inside the valley and also others, can take the take the benefits of top hill view of Kathmandu from there.

There is also the facility of good roads and restaurants. You can go there and return in the same day.

I recommend you to visit this place once and feel the natural as well as cultural beauty of this place with great enjoyment.

You may feel tired if you go on your feet. So better plan to go by vehicles because its the hilly area there.

Ghyampe Danda is a good place to go for a picnic but we could not find a public washroom there. So, get ready to explore the jungle ;).
Spectacular view of Kathmandu valley was a highlight for me. Temples and views from Ashram were great too. There's a wrecked plane's outer part in the danda. It was interesting as well.
