I just be there every dusk for evening prayer dedicated to Lord Shiva. It's really a peaceful place to chill with your loved ones. It's a religious destination for various Hindus around the world. It is regarded as one of the most important temples of Shiva. And the holy river Bagmati also carries various religious importances. I go there to spend my time with books and sometimes diary too. I love this place personally. There are various facilities like toilet and desks to sit. You'll get an awesome memory to remember.

This is one of the most visited place in Nepal. people from India especially visit Nepal to visit Pashupatinath Temple as it is most important tourist destinations
it is also very well maintained Systematic but the recent earthquake shook it off and destroyed it completely
still the main sanctum stands as it is
there are also numerous small temples around it and it's too important and great as per mythology in Hindu religion
a must visit place not only because of its religious importance but also how well it is being maintained in the valley along with its scenery and other market areas

One of my best experiences in Nepal. Even if tourists can’t go into the temple, around the temple is a lot going on. In the evenings take cremations of Hindus place on raised platforms along the holy river. Especially for those who don’t go to Varanasi in India, i highly recommend it. We had a tour guide showing us around, especially as a non Hindu i could use some help to understand the rituals. He didn’t want a fix price, we just could give him what it was worth for us.

The almighty, the lord resides here (in our belief). Whatever the myths say, the place is so beautiful and filled with positive vibes and radiations One of the most important Holy Place for Hindus all over the world. Pashupatinath temple and the environment intrigue me so much that I want to spend a lot of time there.
Everyday at dusk, AARATI (prayers) is carried out, the charm of which is so immense, that it literally hypnotizes you.

You are not allowed to take any pictures from inside. You cannot wear shoes inside. A holy place for Hindus to worship Lord Shiva. Quite a massive architecture. The main temple is made mostly of silver and gold.

It is a temple of holy God Shiva. The surrounding around temple is clean and there are lots of infrastructures made for the Pilgrims. You are not allowed to take photos and take leather clothes or belt anything. There are place to keep shoes for free. The temple is under strict security and well maintained. Overall, it is quite organized temple.

One of the important place of Hindu religion. Best place to visit if you are here, don't miss to visit this place. Although nearby surrounding is not too good due to lack of management and cleanness. You can see awesome architecture at this place and This is the one of the world heritage site listed by UNESCO

Although the Pashupatinath Temple itself is off limits for non-hindus the grander site of its surroundings is overwhelming enough on local atmosphere that it deserves your long (and modest) visit. You feel this places lives and you feel special to be allowed almost everywhere freely as long as you keep your serene distance. Take at least several hours to half a day to explore the complete site. Just sit quietly and watch.

Been there several time. I was always disappointed with contribution of this to pollution. The fortune teller outside are very ugly. Money snatched your goods anytime. Beggers are everywhere. Some Baba's sells weed illegally. Overall management is fine.

Pashupatinath temple, historically, is one of the oldest temple of lord Shiva situated at the banks of Baghmati river in Kathmandu, Nepal. The main shrine in the temple consists of a 'Shivlinga' indicative of a form of Lord Shiva. Scattered within the temple premises there are numerous smaller temples of other deities. The temple is considered as one of the most revered places of worship by the devotees of the Hindu community not only in Nepal but rather all over the world.
Photography and leather articles are not allowed withing the temple premises and entry of people other than the Hindu community is restricted.
