Worst yoga class I've experienced in my life, coming from London with years of practice across different styles and numerous teachers. Don't waste your money or time.

My friend and I were looking for a Hatha drop-in and were drawn in by the big blackboard sign and trendy looking café downstairs. Don't be fooled.

We were warned by reception to book early in the day to reserve our spots but ended up being the only ones in the 5pm class. The 'teacher' sauntered in and didn't acknowledge us. With her eyes closed, she started the lesson without asking us about any injuries or our prior experience.

The instruction was exceptionally light, missing basic cues. She would tell us to hold a pose for 5 breath counts but would move on to the next asana after 2.

She couldn't mirror actions, regularly got her left and right mixed up and didn't know the names of poses.

If my friend and I didn't follow a pose, she wouldn't notice as she wasn't observing us. It felt like she was doing her own thing and we just happened to be in the same room as her. She didn't offer adaptations nor asked us why we weren't doing certain movements.

Her own form and alignment was very poor. Her spine was collapsed in triangle, she leant onto the wall to get into tree and fell over a couple of times when coming out of lunge.

At the end of practice, she left the room without acknowledging or looking at us. My friend thanked her and she didn't respond. I've never felt more awkward or less welcome in a yoga class, which is the antithesis of what it's about.

Out of principle, I decided to ask for a refund and was met with rude aggression and told I should have behaved differently. I doubt whether the instructor had any professional qualifications whatsoever -- I asked her, and her answer didn't fill me with confidence. They eventually agreed to a refund and rudely and loudly shooed us away. Appalling service.

Priced at 750rp, that's an expensive class for Pokhara / Nepal. Don't spend it here.

Swami gave me a Reiki treatment because I've had hip pain for some years. It helped the pain and also made me realize I needed to start taking responsibility for it. So I went back to Om Family and completed the Reiki Level 2 program. It was a great experience, I can feel the Reiki energy much more strongly now, and I'm working on self-healing over the longer term.

The time I spent at Om Family has been a truly profound learning experience for me. I cannot feel more happy, grateful and thankful to have found Sunil and Om Family. Sunil is a fabulous and professional teacher and healer, my master and friend now. I took a 7 day Sat-Chit-Ananda program which has definitely opened my mind and body to go deeper in my spiritual path. Sunil did several healing work on me and taught me a lot of techniques so I have now my own tools to keep going on with my everyday life. Ma Avya is also a very good yoga teacher and she was so comprehensive with my own needs. Overall I feel so happy to have been in your hands for my healing. THANK YOU, LOVE AND BLISS UNCONDITIONALLY

I got a good massage here. If you are used to a certain massage experience, you might be surprised. The massage is on the floor on a pad with sheets that didn't feel like they were particularly clean. My friend also got a massage at the same time, in the same room. The room itself was a little chilly, and the blanket was pretty thin. Sounds from the street leaked in. The lady who gave the massage didn't say much, including about what level to get undressed, so I kept my underwear on. When it was over (after 50 minutes, not 60 as advertised), she walked away without saying anything. Not what I'm used to, but okay. Like I said, the massage itself was pretty good. It was definitely worth 2000 Rs, but that's about it.

*sorry for lengthy post but I promise this is worth your time, giving one star for yoga instructor & guesthouse only*

While at Om family i did a 3 day beginner yoga course. During the course, I had yoga twice a day, as well as "massages", "meditation", and "reiki" each once a day. I put these in quotations because that was not at all what they actually were.

Yoga was great. Good teacher, I learned a lot.

I learned how to properly meditate at Kopan monastery before coming to this yoga place so I could immediately tell that the meditation sessions this yoga place did were a total tourist rip off. They were very short sessions, usually guided by a CD and the instructor did not offer useful breathing techniques or focus mechanisms. It all felt very rushed and inauthentic.

Next were the massages/reiki sessions. I'm grouping them both together because even though in reiki you're not supposed to apply pressure to the receiver's body whatsoever, during my "reiki" sessions I was poked and prodded SO HARD that I started CRYING halfway through. Instead of apologizing/modifying their pressure on my body, my instructor blamed my crying on me being too negative and anxious even though I was just in pain. When I got home that night I checked my body and had bruises all over my chest!

After that happened I just got a generally really bad feeling about the place. I felt like the instructors were continually talking about me and judging me and overall acting super strange. I got this same bad feeling when a male instructor performed "reiki" on me and it felt a little weird. Nothing inappropriate was said or done per say but it was extremely uncomfortable and my intuition was telling me to leave.

Then I did actual research on the place. Turns out multiple women felt the exact same way that I did about this place. Some women reported being sexually assaulted and harassed while here.

They tried to pressure me to stay for another 3 day course and I kindly declined. Would not recommend.

Best place for yoga and meditation in Pokhara. I have learned basic yoga of 3days with Swami Dhan Sagar. He is very helpful and knowledgeable person. His spiritual wisdom speech makes my life easy and more meaningful.
Thank you Om Family and I highly recommend anyone who wants to join for yoga in Pokhara.

I want to share the wonderful experience I had at Om Family.
I arrived to Om Famiely searcing for a therapist to do some Reiki and Healing, after going through a series of treatments in a different place, the healing I received from Babaji was very powerful, full of love and respect, and the results were soon to come, releasing bad emotions and stress I carried in my body and soul for many years, after one week of treatment they literally disappeared!
So whether you are looking for a good massage, healing or Reiki treatment or Yoga session to relax before or after your trek, or just because you deserve it - i highly recommend to visit Om Family, and i know i surly visit there again (-:
