Occupying prime real estate in Taumadhi Tole, this landmark cafe is touristy and pricey. But what a setting! Tables are arranged on the balconies of a historic pagoda temple – there are even erotic carvings on the roof struts. The menu comprises the usual Nepali, Chinese and continental standards.
From erotic carvings on its roof struts, to Nepali, Chinese, and Continental food fares, the Le Café Nyatapola is one of the most tourist-friendly, yet local-centric kind of café place in this area. While sitting in, drinking their local coffee, and having some snacks, we could see, just across the table, a group of Chinese travelers eager to speak in English and eager to make friends with everyone in coffee shop, including us. Everyone was friendly and extra chatty during that afternoon, and I don’t know if it was because of the spectacular venue, or the food, but the place is just too gracious to all of us. It’s really a nice café hopping experience here in Le Café Nyatapola.response / report this review -

This was an amazing place to visit, the view that you get from the top of the restaurant is amazing. The people who serve are very nice and well-spoken, the quality of food they serve is very satisfying. The price they charge is reasonable, although opinions may differ. But for me the view, food and the entire experience was amazing.

Due to its location right in the middle of one of the world heritage sites, it has a good view and well deserves 2 or 2.5 out of 3 score. I like spending sometime alone or with friends there whenever I pass nearby. If you are going Bhaktapur, try this restaurant in the evening. You will love it! :)
