This hospital is purely based upon the Neurology and Applied Sciences. The hospital deals with the Neuro Patients. This hospital is named upon one of the nation's top most Neurologists who have died few years back, Dr. UPENDRA DEVKOTA, who was one of the frontiers of the Neuro surgery of Nepal; so has been renowned as the Master of Open Brain Surgery. His contributions was way too far from describing through words. He was in fact, one of the charismatic Neuro Doctors that has ever born in this country decorated with lots and lots of awards, appreciations and certificates. Yet, he was, in reality, a simple living and.high thinking kind of personality. Now, which he has.started from. His own name, the Neuro hospital.is still under good operation and index seems to rise.instead of declination. This hospital born with a tag of speciality for Neurology has been established as one of the top most Neuro-hospitals in Nepal and even to the south east Asian region as the Sir Ganga Lal Heart Hospital stands for the Heart in particular; although the hospital is serving people through pathological aspect which should be considered as a very good job. These two hospitals are just around perhaps 500 meters away but their legacy are getting higher day by day.

Located at hattigauda near sahid ganga Lal hospital. Beautiful garden space and architecture and ample parking space. The hospital specializes in neurological conditions and first of its kind in Nepal. It was build in memory of Dr. Upendra Devkota. It's actually officially named as National Institute of Neurological and allied sciences.

Upendra Devkota Memorial National Institute Of Neurological And Allied Sciences is commonly known as Neuro hospital even in bus station. it is the biggest facility in the whole country Nepal for the neurological Studies and research. It is well reputed for handling the most serious and complicated issues relating to the neurology. It is affiliated either the Kathmandu University too. For an average Nepali, It might feel a bit expensive but its facilities are worth appreciating .

The Neurology Department was established as a separate wing in 2014; the Neurologists joining the existing team of Neurosurgeons. The Department has a dedicated team of clinical and academic neurologists committed to education, patient care and research.Upendra Devkota Memorial National Institute of Neurological and Allied Sciences

In most of the cases the injured persons who have been hospitalized is very hard to see them alive. The success rate is also very low. Even the top doctors are always going abroad for their treatment. This clarifies that even doctors from the reputed university are not sure about their treatments. That’s the bitter reality. They unnecessarily admit the dead one & bargain a lump sum as if the body is still alive.
The beautiful environment around here makes it cozy otherwise very good service can’t be expected.

The location of this hospital is near to the main city and little bit away from the hustling and bustling city. The clean and beautiful environment where patients as well as other patients family member could rest sound and easy. The well managed medical system. The staffs are amiable and well grooming. Despite this, the medical fee here is too expensive. Single time entry (appointment with doctor) cost us Rs 600 for a week. If the medical fee is little and mostly affordable by thr poor people this hospital will be the one of the best hospital in town.

The hospital's layout was designed by the Swiss consulting firm, Baumann, and every tiny detail is carefully planned to meet international standards. There is a central oxygen and compressed air supply for surgical instruments, the vital signs patients is transmitted to nurse stations on wireless systems and their CT scans can be downloaded in operation theatres. The waiting area for relatives is bright and relaxed and even has a multi-denominational prayer room.

This hospital is nothing but a mercenary. It's sad to witness one of the best neuro hospitals in the country getting tarnished, the hospital has turned itself into a business company that has N numbers of strategies to make money out of one's pocket. The check-up and hospital ward fees are way too exorbitant, even for a minor problem they advise you to take unnecessary and useless test to burgeon your hospital Bill. Most of the nurses as well as doctors here are facetious and get easily miffed. They have put some of the ridiculous rules in their hospital; To my anecdote here,my cousin was seriously ill and had admitted in this hospital,i needed to visit him urgently but the guards halted me at the entrance and told me it's illicit and against their rules,as only one person are allowed to visit and that too after 4 pm onward. The only thing I liked about this place was cleanliness.Long short story, the place is good only If you are one of those rich individual who cares less about money and more about getting replenished but for a commoner this place is a big NO NO !!
