We did the sundarjal-chisapani trek starting at Mulkharka and going towards Chisapani.
We drove an hour to get to the park which was fine. The first hour of the walk was great. We passed a village, and were able to look around and had some nice views going up. It was an interesting start of the day. after that it was 4 hours of boredom. The walk is one straight line of steps going up, a path with bushes left and right. Nothing to see expect quite uninteresting vegetation.
We reached a hill top hoping the - in itself welcome - leg workout would offer something interesting to see, but it was so dissapointing that we had a good time laughing about this deception on the way back. The viewpoint was surrounded by bushes twice my height at three meters distance. Nothing to see. In front of us a long stretch of plastic litter. It was the highlight of the tour. Some plastic and bushes.
On the way back we saw a random bird. And what seemed like a red flower. And a house in the distance.
Our guide was friendly. He was very surprised we didnt like the tour so much. Thats something i find hard to understand.
Disclaimer: maybe the tour would have been better if we reached chisapani. Which we never did. It was up the stairs. Looking at bushes. And down again the same way we came.
In my opinion the tour should not be organised without explaining its a random parkwalk without a view and going back the same way you came. Its mediocre at best. Costed 8500 rupee including the drive and entrance for the park. Wasn't worth it to me. Especially since the tourguide explained he was very experienced for 12 years doing Nepali tours.
