Nag pokhari is the temple of nag where people come to worship. And in nagpanchami people from different part of the city come to worship in this temple. Along with temple most of the people come here for their morning exercise as well.
Though this place is near the city,it is not so crowded.Nice place to spend time.
Naag pokhari is a pond which is very near to the Narayanhiti royal palace. The ganatantra smarak is also situated just opposite to it. This pond is named after the serpent which is know as Naga in Nepali and Sanskrit language. In Hinduism, serpents are considered as holey reptiles and are worshiped in many occasions. NagaPanchami ie fifth day of lunar colander in which serpents are worshiped in every house of Hindus in Nepal. In this special day lots of devotees come to this place to worship Naga. The statue of nage is situated at middle of the pond. People worship naga with milk.
Historical pound of Kathmandu, Nag Pokhara is suituiated close to Eastern side of Royal Palace (now mesium). It has a tall statue of a Naga King at its centre. It is preserved as park and huge crowd of devotees can be seen at Nag Panchami. There is also temple of Santoshi Mata, devotees came here every Friday to worship goddess.
Nag Pokhari in Naxal, close to and on the eastern side the erstwhile Royal Palace (now a museum), has a tall statue of a Naga King (Serpent God) at its center. Nag Pokhari comes next only to Rani Pokhari in terms of historical and cultural importance. And it’s not only because of its location, situated as it is in a very important locality with other significant heritages nearby, including, of course, the palace. This pond, now well preserved and with a park around it, especially comes to life during Nag Panchami.
Nagpokhari is situated at Naxal, at the eastern side of the Royal Palace along the main road stretching from Thamel upto NaniKeshar Bahal. Nagpokhari bears great religious and historical significance possessing perennial importance after Ranipokhari. Its overall importance gradually increased after the renovation as a park on the initiative of Her Late Majesty the Queen Aishwarya Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah.
They need to widen the road that surrounds the pond. It can get utterly crowded at times.
A good place for relaxing and morning walk.
A Religious place and a medium sized park where you can have peace of mind among city chaos and noise. There are benches to sit and people usually comes there for morning and evening jogging.
Place of Santoshi Maata Temple, Every Friday there very rush in this temple, Old Pond, surrounding sitting place for relax

Nice quiet place for quick rest. Busy on fridays because a the temple there.
This pond plus park is like an oasis in the jungle of concrete. Small pond with tall structure of snake God in the middle is also a religious spot.
