  Nepal head coach Gyotuku Koji selected the 23 players from the 44-member preliminary squad. Devendra Tamang has also been selected for friendly match. Amrit Chaudhary, Alan Neupane, Yogesh Gurung, Nabin Lama, Jangbu Sherpa, Tej Tamang, Tanka Basnet, Rajendra Rawal, Shyam Nepali, Sushil KC, Rupesh KC, Shiva Shrestha, Ajit Bhandari, Karna Limbu and Anil Gurung  are axed from the squad. Ananta Tamang and Anjan Bista are in Europe taking part in 2016 European Tour of Marbe...lla United FC. Bimal Gharti Magar, who is recovering from injury, will leave for Europe soon to take part in the tour. Bikram Lama is in Indonesia to appear in trial with various Indonesian Clubs. Rohit Chand and Aditya Chaudhary have been dropped due to injury. Nepal National Team is playing an international  friendly match against Malaysia National U-22 Team at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Pardi, Malaysia on March 27 at 9 PM local time (6:45 PM NST). The squad consisits of three goalkeepers, nine defenders, six midfielders and five strikers. Coach Raju Kaji Shakya is the assistant coach while Mrigendra Lal Mishra is the goalkeeping coach of the team.
