A huge mandala (circular Buddhist art) is one of the most attractive junction at Maitighar. This place reflect the religious dedications and preservation of art and culture through paintings. This mandala is constructed with the combination of numerous pieces of different stones and distinct and vibrant colours are used. Due to dust and smoke of polluted city, this mandala needs periodic cleaning which degrades the original form and value.

one of very few open spaces in Kathmandu. It is decorated with Mandala, the traditional Buddhist art. It also works as a round about.

Open place with huge area. Maximum events by various party and organization which lots of space or events which goes through roads starts from here. Mainly anti-government or pressure events for government starts from here. Neat and clean road. Green environment makes good feeling while walking from this place.
But there is Lack of public toilet.

The place seems pleasing like the antique piece of art and architecture. It looks great when it is clean and when the grasses are green and the flowers are blooming.
And since it has been the junction of three roads, viz. to ram shah path, to Thapathali and to Baneshwor, it has becomes central attraction when commuting around. But these days, the place has been the place to shout-out political annoyance and different movements, that's so uncool.

This beautiful Mandalay was created during 11th SAARC Summit. It is the masterpiece of art. A very busy place due to junction of roadways.

Beautiful place but the dust and the traffic made it hard to locate. Occasional political crowd gathering makes the traffic worst.

One of the most beautifully constructed public places. But spending time here isn't ideal because of the crowded streets, noise, dust and smoke. Adds to the beauty of the city, though. It looks beautiful from the rooftop restaurants nearby.
