Madhav Narayan Festival and Swasthani Brata Katha is a month long festival dedicated to God Madhav Narayan and Goddess Swasthani. Devotees recreate and recite folk tales about the miraculous feats performed by the Gods. Hindu women observe a fast and adhere to strict rules for the entire month to pray to Goddess Swasthani for the longevity of their husband’s life and family prosperity.

Madhav Narayan Temple is crowded specially in the months of January and February in the name of Swasthani Brata (fasting). A whole month long fasting during the month is famous among the Hindus. The story of the Swasthani Mata mainly includes Goma, Chandrawati, Navaraj etc. The temple is situated on the bank of the Shalinadi.
The location of this temple in shalinadi is mentioned in the famous holy book "shree swasthani Brata Katha". This temple has ancient story. Lots of people visit this area every year in specific month generally from january to february. This period is mostly recognized by Salinadi Mela.
