I trekked to langtang this June. It was not the suitable weather so, tourists were so few. Hence, I enjoyed it the most. I suggest all of you to book hotels in advance also, have some sea buckthorn juice, yak cheese and some local alcohol.
So much to do and see at Langtang National Park. You can hike or helicopter into Kyanjin. The hike to Kyanjin is part of the experience and highly recommended. If you have bad knees be prepared with braces/meds. As my guide said, lots of “up, up, up”. I had a guide and porter and that made a world of difference!
The part of Langtang National Park that I have explored is the famous Gosainkunda Trek Route.
The gosainkunda trekking path starting from Bhraval- Dursang - Mukharka - Cholangpaati - Lauribina - Buddha Mandir - Gosain kunda gives you a scenic view of varied landscapes, diverse flora and fauna, villages and unique cultures.
Enjoyed trekking across kharkha, steep hills, forests, cliffs along the path.
It was an amazing experience trekking at Langtang National Park. I was born and raised in Nepal but never hiked high Himalayas before. I was so excited and felt so proud of myself trekking on my own and as a foreigner. I loved every moment of it. Bus ride was little torturing but I still loved the ride. I got few blisters on my feet but I did not pay attention to it. The views as I go up help all the pain. Someone said "no pain no gain".
Beautiful place with nature and wildlife. Where
You can see beautiful waterfalls forest Mountain and beautiful people, tradition culture.if you are lucky you can see different wild animals.
Langtang national park lies in bagmati zone.. it is named from mountain named Langtang.. it is beautiful place.. where different kinds of rare animals and birds are found
Truly amazing, you will love the nature, you will love the chance to be close to nature. The trekking experience can be very great in Langtang Trail. One of the best trekking trail, and you will nearly see the heaven
I absolutely love the place and most of all langtang area had some breathtaking landscapes. You wouldn't want to miss the amazing foot trails of the region experiencing refreshing environment and marvellous views. A perfect place to get away from city crowd and pollution for few days.
Good views nice place to stay and almost a perfect trail to walk on. No need to worry about altitude sickness as it is comparatively easier trek and the places we sleep are not very high. There is no other trek to challenge the views we have of the mountains. It is extraordinarily beautiful.
The place holds a special place in my heart as 6000 people died at Langtang Valley alone during the 25 Apr 2015 earthquake (total of 9000 in whole country). After raising some money over the past few years, I managed to deliver it personally during 13Nov to 1Dec2017. The whole track is shimmering with fools gold! So beautiful!! The track is also very rich with unique vegetation! The track is not as high and half the as long as EBC. Only
Natural reserve for protection of various endangered species. Best know for the frequent appearance of Red Panda. Foreigner have to pay nearly $30 but you won't regret after taking amazing trekking experience mixed with breathtaking view of himalayas with you back home. A nice place to nap around with nature.
Awesome place. Wonderful trek experience. 100% natural experience. A must visit place for all the nature lovers. Highly recommended.
If you are going for trekking for the first time, Langtang trek is probably the easiest trek route in Nepal. Have fun, enjoy the view and go as higher as you can. Also, keep yourself hydrated.
Great route to hike. Langtang has been rebuilt after the big earthquake of 2014. All safe and plenty of place to lodge and food. Honestly not the greatest food in the trail compared to Annapurna. Still a great experience.
My friends and I recently hiked up Langtang valley. It had amazing views and good accommodations. I took my sleeping bag but did not use it because they had blankets at each place. At almost every place I stayed they had hot showers and a wide verity of food to eat. I would recommend this place to a friend.
I did not go with a guide, but I did go with a local friend. You could go without a local but it is helpful to have someone to translate.
The weather in October in the lower part of the valley was warm(shorts and short sleeves), but near the top in got cooler(a layer or two).
Best one I know till date. Beautiful
Lamtang valley is one of the great alpine in the world. It is the one of the most adventurous and spectacular tourist destination in Nepal. Lamtang Himal and Ganesh Himal is located in this area. One can enjoy the enchanting panoramic view of the mountains. Red Panda and other high altitude animals and plants are observed here and there. Researchers can spend several days on exploration of their interest.
Nice ambience, super cool views of Himalayas.. friendly people, nice and cozy lodges..
My birthplace.. and naturally beautiful. Many other people from different countries came to visit

The Langtang Valley is a beautiful alpine region situated to the North of Kathmandu bordering Tibet. It is popular due to its snow-covered peaks, a mild climate and friendly and hospitable inhabitants. The area was recognized as Nepal's first Himalayan National Park in 1971. The land of Tamangs, Langtang is rich in its age-old religious practices, language and costume. A journey to the Langtang valley offers an opportunity to explore the Tamang villages, climb small peaks and visit glaciers.
The trek is easily accessible from Kathmandu. The majestic mountains of Langtang Lirung (7246m) to the north, Gang Chhenpo (6388m) to the south and Dorje Lhakpa (6990m) to the east dominate the beautiful Langtang valley. The trek passes through lush forest and the unique settlements of diverse ethnic groups.
Lovely Langtang Village and Mt. Yola! I remember the village dancing and singing in celebration.
One of the first treks out of the many that I did in Nepal. This is the place to trek to if you are looking for an adventure and great scenery.
