Best place at Pokhara.Heart of pokhara
Phewa Tal is the travellers’ focal point in Pokhara, and is the second largest lake in Nepal. In contrast to the gaudy tourist development of Lakeside, the steep southwestern shore is densely forested and alive with birdlife. The lush Rani Ban, or Queen’s Forest, bestows an emerald hue to the lake, and on a clear day, the Annapurna mountains are perfectly reflected on its mirror surface.
You can take to the lake in one of the brightly painted doongas (boats) available for rent at Lakeside. Many people walk or cycle around the lakeshore – the trek up to the World Peace Pagoda affords breathtaking views over the tal to the mountains beyond.
Beautiful place to visit at night time
My best place in Nepal is Lakeside. I am staying here for last 7 years although my house is just 20 minutes drive from Lakeside. Its not much crowd. Its very very clean. Most of the people in Lakeside have tourism related jobs and businesses. It has over thousand number of hotels, lodges, resorts, guest houses, restaurants, bars, pubs and other tourism oriented service providing companies. The weather at lakeside is very fine. Winter has the coldest days upto around 5°centigrades however nights might go upto around -5° Centigrades; summer has the days not exceeding 40°Centigrades. It doesn't snow here. Nepal's second largest lake, Fewa lake, stretches few kilometers from northern to southern lakeside. Local market can be reached within 10-15 minutes drive from Lakeside. It receives the sun morning to evening for the whole year. It rains a lot during May, June & July.
Hundreds of thousands of tourists visit this place every year.
A lots of tourists from northern world also reside here during their winter season.
