Kyanjing Gompa and Monastery Lodge

  Stayed in Kyanjin Gomba Hotel/Lodge just before the 2015 earthquake. Both the Lodge and the Gomba (Monastery) were very severely damaged by the blast from the avalanche from Langtang Lirung that was channeled down the valley leading to Kyanjin village. By end of 2016 the Gomba Lodge had been repaired and was open for business again. In 2017 restoration work started on the Gomba itself.
  
  There is much confusion here about exact locations of English-named places on Google maps. The village is sometimes Kyanjin, Kyanjin Gomba (or Gompa or Gumba) or Kyanjin Kharka. People posting the location of lodges/hotels often use variations of these.
  
  In 2016, the former Kyanjin Gompa Lodge reopened as Monastery Guest House.

  キャンジンにゴンパ(チベット仏教の僧院)があるのでキャンジンゴンパという。
  ただし、2015年の地震でランタンリルンの氷河が大規模崩落し、その爆風でゴンパを含め木造の住居がなぎ倒されたとのこと。
  自分が宿泊したホテルは丈夫な石造りのため無事だった。
