Best view on the EBC trek! I would recommend doing it for sunset rather than sunrise. It's pretty strenuous to get to the summit but can be done easily in around 2 hrs, took me about 40 minutes to get down though!

If you are up for it, I would strongly suggest you make the walk to the summit. It is around 2.5 hours from Gorak Shep and you will feel every step. You should leave around 4:30am so you get the see the sun rise over Mt Everest.
This is truly an amazing experience allowing you to see the surrounding mountains unobstructed. This beats the views of Everest Base Camp and it will give you a feeling of accomplishment as you witness the awe inspiring panorama.

This is definitely worth a climb. It offers one of the best views of Everest, and it's a very easy hike up (if you are properly acclimated). In my opinion, the view here is only second to Gokyo Ri, and ties with Chhukung Ri.

At 18,209 ft tall, Kala Patthar actually has a better view of Everest than the Everest Base Camp does. Bask in the glory of the Himalayas and congratulate yourself for making it to the highest point on the Everest Base Camp Trek!

If you have to choose from EBC and Kala Patthar, skip EBC. The view on top is breathtaking. Go in the early morning before it gets cloudy.

It was very difficult but i made it to summit very slowly without any food and water even i skipped dinner last day. View is great from here. Your Everest base camp trip is incomplete without this.

Incredible views of Mount Everest and many other famous Himalayan peaks. Well worth the hike. Depending on your physical condition, it could take anywhere from 1.5 hours to 4 hour (I did it in 1 hour 35 minutes, but 2 to 2.5 hours is probably a safe average for most people). But the view is so worth it! Get there well before sunrise so you can sit and relax and watch the sun light up all the different peaks one by one. It quickly becomes Disneyland shortly after the sun actually crests as the late risers and slow walkers start showing up.

Bucket list worthy! Best time of day to go up is before sunset. Everest simply glows in the evening light.

Great view of Everest but very narrow on top. Only 2 people max and gets below 0 degrees.
