An excellent base to explore the Himalayas.
This is so much more than a Scouting Centre. It is a big campsite, but a discreet one with many cosy little places to avoid others.
It is a climbing and mountain bike centre with trails and climbs in every direction.
It's also a superb place for events, with lots of space and enough infrastructure to support thousands of people. I went to the Himalayan Outdoor Festival there and was impressed by the location and also the friendly people.
The only thing that wasn't pukka was the toilets -- they do smell a bit, but you can't have everything and considering how cheap our weekend in the hills was I wouldn't have expected Western standard toilets.response / report this review -
